What is the Alpine Expression for Golf Safari in Salzburg?

The perfect coordination of golfing trips throughout the Salzburg region is undertaken by hosts like the Habersatter family, for example at Hotel Gut Weissenhof****S, directly at Radstadt Golf Course. The guests play a relaxing round of golf at the Radstadt, Lungau, Schloss Pichlarn, Zell am See-Kaprun-Saalbach-Hinterglemm courses and the leading golf course at Dachstein-Tauern many times a season. The hotel’s owner, Josef Habersatter personally organises and accompanies all golfing excursions. Transfers are made using the hotel’s own bus and the hotel invoices guests directly at the end of the trip. Over the next weeks, guests from Hotel Gut Weissenhof  will play on the greatest golf courses in the region, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere and good company.

Radstadt Golf Course boasts its own unique golf cable car and magnificent 13th tee. From 1,000 metres above sea level, stunning views of the golf course and the Dachstein-Massif summit can be enjoyed. This golf club has really dedicated itself to giving guests a warm welcome. Here, guest players are received in an extremely open, friendly and courteous manner with lots of traditional charm.

St. Michael’s Golf Course lies flat in Tal der Mur, in the middle of the spectacular mountain landscape of Lungaus, It was developed adhering to all the rules for ecological landscaping in the expanses of the delightful Auland area. Flat fairways with natural obstacles – water quite often comes into play – open up golfing pleasures in one of Austria’s sunniest regions.

Zell am See-Kaprun-Saalbach-Hinterglemm and Dachstein-Tauern have placed high demands on the quality and design of their courses. Both courses are completely flat and offer you stunning views of the snow covered mountain summit.

If you have the time and inclination after a round of golf, you should take up the offer of a guided tour organised in-house at Weissenhofalm. The hotel’s owner personally takes guests around the local mountains, explaining and telling them all about his homeland and retires to the home of his current Sennleute (farmers),  Tina and Wolfgang (previously our Sennin, Berta).  Tina und Wolfgang spoil the guests with homemade Radstädter cheese, traditional farmer’s bread with farmer’s bacon and for those with a “sweet tooth”, there are homemade Brennesselkrapfen, Heimfahrkrapfen and Schnurauskrapfen, which are local specialities of doughnuts.
