What is the Alpine Expression for Golf Safari in Tyrol?

Hotel Kaiserblick**** in Ellmau, 600 Metres from the Wilder Kaiser Golf Course is recommended as an ideal base for a journey of discovery around the Tyrolean golfing area. 6 further golf courses can be found within 30 kilometres, one more spectacular than the next.

Wilder Kaiser Golf Course was completely right to adopt the slogan “the Kaiser’s most beautiful garden“. The golf course lies completely flat in front of the enormous rocky massif  “Wilder Kaiser“, which provides an impressive view with every hole. 3 x 9 holes provide variety and a fluid game.

The well-known Kitzbühel Golf Course is located 13 km away from the hotel.  A “legend” in itself, the Kitzbühel-Schwarzsee Golf Course fascinates its members and guests, not simply due to the many famous faces who show up at its gates. In the middle of the Kitzbühel Alps and surrounded by mountain ridges, forests and meadows, its particular attraction lies in its water obstacles, the flat fairways on holes 1-9, as well as the hilly character of holes 10 to 18. So, don’t wonder when you then hear a player talking about hole 20.  Insiders know this means the nearby Schwarzsee Lake, where you can refresh yourself magnificently after a successful round of golf.

On 9th May 2014 the http://www.gc-kitzbueheler-alpen.at/de/Kitzbüheler Alpen Golf Course will have opened its gates. This course lies 1.3 km from the regional centre of Westendorf and 23 km away from Hotel Kaiserblick. The level and thus easy to access course lies primarily in the montane mixed forest;  more than 10,000 trees have been newly planted in this area. The diverse combination of old and new trees, the well-sized pond landscaping, located in the club house area as well as stunning views of the Tyrolean mountain world define the golf course’s character.  All guests as well as the 300 members of the golf club are already really looking forward to the start of play when it opens on 9th May 2014.

Kaiserwink Golf Course, located on the level valley basin can be reached from Hotel Kaiserblick in half an hour’s car ride. The jagged rocky massif of the Kaiser Mountains, thick forests and green meadows give this peaceful golf course its sublime character. Golf architect, Don Harradine has ensured that this golf course fits in perfectly with the existing nature. Thus, for example the rustling Kohlbach was taken into account and the natural biotopes were used as picturesque obstacles.

5 km further along in the direction of Chiemsee lies the Reit im Winkl Golf Course. This picturesque golf course is completely surrounded by the Chiemgauer and Tyrolean Alps and the view of the Kaiser Mountains is spectacular. This unique golf course encourages strategic thinking, a high level of skill and for those on foot, a basic level of fitness. A little tip: this golf club’s tournaments are legendary and are already booked up way in advance. It’s worth considering a sporting challenge on this course, not least due to the excellent programme of events on offer!

In a 45 minute car journey, guests of Hotels Kaiserblick are able to reach Achensee Golf Course, the oldest in Tyrol.  This leading golf course can be found at the foot of the Karwendel Mountain and at the water’s edge of the silver, shining Achensee Lake, set in a completely calm spot in the middle of forests and alpine pastures. Considering its altitude (approx. 1000 metres) the course has an unusually soft construction, but is very challenging to play.

After many exciting and challenging rounds of golf around the rocky massif, Hotel Kaiserblick offers a variety of  wellness facilities like an indoor swimming pool, a heated outdoor poor, whirlpool, Swiss stone pine sauna and of course, excellent massage treatments.

Round off your day perfectly with a 6-course à la Carte evening menu and the excellent wine tasting sessions by owner, Armin Künig.
