Playing golf around Lake Attersee

The lake Attersee and the Salzkammergut region offer you a unique golfing experience.

There are three golf clubs around the lake in the holiday region Attersee-Salzkammergut and twelve more within one hour drive. Varied fairways, well-kept greens and the picturesque scenery will inspire you while putting, chipping or swinging your club. To round things off there are plenty of leisure and sporting facilities, touristic highlights and an array of hotels and restaurants close-by. Golf enthusiasts find the sophisticated style of playing golf in the golfing destination Salzkammergut.

The Bad Ischl Golf Resort offers "royal" golfing. Besides the demanding golf course of GC Salzkammergut, there is also the Franz Laimer Golf Training Center, unique in Europe. Between the Tote Gebirge and Dachstein mountain range golfers can get ready to hit.

Location and directions
The Salzkammergut is one of the most impressive regions in the heart of Austria. It extends over the Alps and its foothills within the provinces Upper Austria, Salzburg and Styria.

You can easily reach the Salzkammergut by car, by plane or by train. Take the motorway from Munich to Salzburg (A8). From there you take the motorway A1 (Westautobahn) till the exits Thalgau, Mondsee, Seewalchen or Regau.

The closest airports are in Salzburg (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart airport) and Linz (Blue Danube airport).
